Swiss Coordination Conference for Continuing Education SKW
Continuing education is characterised by the parallel growth of private and state run community services, profit-and non-profit-oriented, corporate and school educational offers. This plurality can also be seen in different sponsorships and financing as well as in the extensive variety of the offers of continuing education. To be able to coordinate the processing of issues concerning continuing education between the Confederation and cantons, the "Swiss Coordination Conference for Continuing Education (SKW)" was founded in January 2005, a consequence of the preparatory work of the Swiss Continuing Education Forum. This coordination conference coordinates the processing of issues of continuing education between the cantons and the Confederation

A close alliance between the Swiss Continuing Education Forum and the Swiss Coordination Conference for Continuing Education (SKW) makes the sustainable improvement of the coordination in the continuing education areas possible and promotes those developments where the Confederation and the cantons undertake tasks jointly.

eduQua
Created in 2000, eduQua is the first Swiss label that is tailored to the providers of continuing education. In the eduQua certification process the continuing education institutes are qualified as a result of different criteria. The eduQua certificate is termed as a requirement for continuing education institutes to be able to receive public funds in an increasing number of cantons. The eduQua label sets and checks minimum requirements with regard to the quality of the continuing education providers.
